Eviction Intervention Program

Muskogee Housing Begins Eviction Intervention Program

Effective October 1st  2018

In an attempt to reduce the number of evictions from its public housing developments, Muskogee Housing has established the Eviction Intervention Program (EIP).

The EIP will serve as a mediator between families and community management staff in an attempt to find resolutions, including bringing in community partners and services providers, to issues causing lease violations and evictions.

Areas of focus will be on families who are experiencing difficulties in paying their contracted rent amounts, violations of housekeeping standards, domestic violence situations, and other situations outside of violent or criminal violations of the lease agreement.

Muskogee Housing will begin notifying families of this new service very soon and hopes to decrease evictions over the next 12 months by at least 10%.
